Today is a special day for Sílvia Osuna. Not only is it her birthday (Happy Birthday!!), but also she will be given the "2016 FPdGi Scientific Research Award" by the Fundació Princesa de Girona for her research achievements. This is an important moment not only for her, but also for the Institut de Química Computacional i Catàlisi (IQCC) of the Universitat de Girona (UdG). It is the first time that one of our members receives this prestigious award, and both as director of the IQCC and supervisor of her PhD thesis I am feeling extremely PROUD today.

Well done Sílvia!!!

It should be added that this is in fact the fourth big prize Sílvia has achieved within the span of one year:

• obtained prestigious 5-year Ramón y Cajal fellowship (started 1-1-2016)
• obtained prestigious ERC Starting Grant (started 1-5-2016)
• won the 2016 FPdGi Scientific Research Award
• won the Premio a Jóvenes Investigadores RSEQ 2016

Way to go!!! Well done, and keep up the good work!
